Nevada unveils its 2025-26 nonconference schedule

Nevada unveiled its 2025-26 nonconference schedule, with 11 games scheduled before the start of Mountain West Conference play.

The non-league schedule includes seven home games, two away games and two neutral-site games at the Acrisure Series in Palm Springs, California.

After playing two exhibition games at Utah (Oct. 17) and at home against Eastern Washington (Oct. 25), the Wolf Pack will officially kick off their season with a three-game home stand with the first Division I game against Louisiana Tech on Nov. 4 at Lawlor Events Center. Following that contest, the Wolf Pack have home games against Pacific (Nov. 8) and Southern Illinois (Nov. 12).

Following the first away game at Santa Clara (Nov. 14), the Wolf Pack will return home to host the UC Davis Aggies (Nov. 18) and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (Nov. 22), with both teams from the Big West Conference.

After Nov. 22, Nevada will participate in one of the largest multi-team in-season tournaments in Division 1 basketball, the Acrisure Series. The first game of the Acrisure Series will be played on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28) against Washington, followed by either Colorado or San Francisco on Nov. 29, depending on the outcome of the first game. The Acrisure Series will be the only time Nevada plays teams from a high-major conference.

The Wolf Pack close out the nonconference schedule with a home game against the UC San Diego Tritons (Dec. 2), an away game at the Washington State Cougars (Dec. 7) and then the final non-conference game at home against the Duquesne Dukes (Dec. 13).

Out of the 11 nonconference opponents, only three finished the season ranked in the top 100 of the NET: UC San Diego (35th in NET), Santa Clara (57th) and Colorado (86th)/San Francisco (64th).

Nevada returns only four players and no starters from last year’s team that went 17-16 overall, including 8-12 in conference play. After finishing seventh in the Mountain West last season, the Wolf Pack have added six transfers and three freshmen to their roster this offseason.
