The Milwaukee Panthers enjoyed a successful weekend, going a perfect 3-0 to claim the Cream City Challenge team title at Panther Arena in Milwaukee. The Panthers notched wins against Portland State, Wofford and St. Thomas, capping off the event with a hard-fought 69-65 victory over the Tommies on Sunday.
Junior forward Jamichael Stillwell was instrumental in Sunday’s win over St. Thomas. He delivered a standout performance with 22 points and eight rebounds to lead the Panthers in the tightly contested game. The victory secured the tournament title and improved Milwaukee’s season record to 5-2.
Despite their success, the Panthers faced some challenges during the three-day event, struggling at times with turnovers and free-throw shooting. However, they displayed resilience and potential, providing a solid foundation as they build on their strong start to the season.
“A lot of growth this weekend,” Milwaukee coach Bart Lundy said after Sunday’s victory. “A lot of growth.”
