Nevada replenishes roster with 9 newcomers after 16-win season

After a disappointing end to last season, the Nevada men’s basketball team is looking to rebound with a plethora of transfers heading into the start of the 2025-26 season.

Nevada went to the portal and signed nine new players, including six transfers and three freshmen. Coach Steve Alford enters his seventh season, aiming to return the program to the top of the Mountain West Conference and secure an NCAA Tournament berth, a feat he has accomplished twice.

With only seven more weeks left until the season, here’s a look at all the players who took pen to paper and signed with the Pack.

New Additions

Elijah Price, Redshirt Sophomore, Forward

Price redshirted at Drake in 2023-24 after a successful two-year campaign with the Fresno State Bulldogs, averaging 10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He played against Nevada in the first round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament and tied a career high with 17 points and added 11 rebounds.

Weems is a good free-throw shooter, with a 78.4 percent completion rate. He picked the Wolf Pack over offers from New Mexico State, Ball State and UW-Green Bay.

Tayshawn Comer, Senior, Guard

A 6-foot-1 point guard, Comer comes to the Wolf Pack after being a second-team All-Missouri Valley player last season at Evansville. He provides Nevada with good speed and ball-handling.
